George Soros Emerges as Major Funder of ‘Global Climate Strike’ Groups

George Soros financed radical environmental groups partnering in this week’s “Global Climate Strike” to the tune of nearly $25 million, according to a new report.

At least 22 of the left-wing activist groups listed as partners in the Global Climate Strike received $24,854,592 in funding from liberal billionaire George Soros between 2000-2017 through his Open Society Network, Joseph Vazquez reported Thursday for the Media Research Center.

Though ostensibly ignited by the protests of 16-year-old Greta Thunberg, the Global Climate Strike has borne from the outset the indelible fingerprints of well-funded, radical environmental activists. As it turns out, much of the funding has been coming from professional disrupter George Soros.

While kids were marching, singing, and twerking for the Global Climate Strike, a group of more than 500 scientists and professionals appealed to the United Nations for a long overdue, open debate on climate change.

“Climate science should be less political, while climate policies should be more scientific,” the scientists stated in their declaration sent to the U.N. secretary general.

“Scientists should openly address the uncertainties and exaggerations in their predictions of global warming, while politicians should dispassionately count the real benefits as well as the imagined costs of adaptation to global warming, and the real costs as well as the imagined benefits of mitigation,” they said.

En tiedä onko tämä ollut jo esillä, mutta hyvä yhteenveto Soroksen rahojen kohteista:

The Open Society Foundations (OSF), founded by liberal financier George Soros, is a network of more than 20 national and regional foundations making it one of the largest political philanthropies in the world. Built on Soros’ anti-capitalist redistributionist political philosophies, the organization gives away nearly a billion dollars per year to left-wing organizations around the world.[1]

OSF is the successor to the Open Society Institute (OSI), a Soros philanthropy that was folded into OSF. (Open Society Institute – Baltimore is the sole remaining Soros group bearing that name.)

In the United States, Open Society Foundations U.S. Programs have given hundreds of millions to left-wing political organizations including multi-million dollar gifts to the ACLU, Planned Parenthood, the Robin Hood Foundation, the Tides Foundation, the Brennan Center for Justice, and Alliance for Citizenship among countless others.  [2]

Documents stolen from the organization indicate that The Open Society Foundations’ U.S. Programs agenda prioritizes a number of liberal issue prerogatives and funds left-wing organizations to carry out these policies.[3] Some of these prerogatives include creating a pathway to citizenship for illegal immigrants, cutting the number of prison inmates by 50%, enacting comprehensive immigration reform, increasing welfare handouts, and raising taxes to redistribute wealth.[4]

Yhteenvetona: Open Society Foundations lahjoittaa vuosittain yli puoli miljardia taalaa ($587,1M vuonna 2017) erilaiseen pahantekoon, näistä reilu 10% ($63,3M) Eurooppaan.

Itselleni jäi vähän epäselväksi onko Soroksella muita kanavia rahoittaa myyräntyötään, edellä siis vain OSF:n osuus.

USA:ssa on havaittu että Soroksen puuhat sotkevat maan ulkopolitiikkaa (tämä siis jo ennen Trumpia): (vaatii Adblockerin pois päältä)

Are George Soros' Billions Compromising U.S. Foreign Policy?

George Soros is rich enough to buy his own foreign policy, but is it wise to let him have one?

Soros' strange pattern of investments and gifts, especially in the former-Soviet states of Eastern Europe and Central Asia, amounts to a personal foreign policy.

While other rich men fund think tanks and charities abroad, the sheer scale of Soros' spending sets him apart. Soros, through foundations and his Open Society Institutes, pours some $500 million per year into organizations in the former Soviet world, according to their own estimates. That, in many cash-starved countries, is enough capital to change who runs the capital.

And Soros gets results. Through strategic donations, Soros helped bring down the communist government in Poland, toppled Serbia's bloodstained strongman Slobodan Milosevic, and fueled the "Rose Revolution" in Georgia. Soros has also funded opposition parties in Azerbaijan, Belarus, Croatia, Georgia, and Macedonia, helping them into either power or prominence. All of these countries were once Russian allies.

Of course, Soros doesn't work alone. His investments often ride a populist wave of discontent or are made alongside American or European governments and non-profits. No amount of money can singlehandedly bring down a popular foreign leader. But a weak leader can be pushed from power—and Soros likes to give the humpty-dumpty shove to the world's autocrats.

And that creates problems for the U.S. Since Soros' most significant dictator-toppling efforts are concentrated in the post-Soviet world, Soros' foreign policy creates friction between the U.S and Russia and generates hostility from a range of energy-rich Central Asian states, which provide key bases for the Afghan war. Some nations, including Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan, have even banned Soros or his philanthropic front-groups.

Unkarin pääministeri Orbán sanoo George Sorosin olevan maailman ykkösoligarkki, jonka verkostot vaikuttavat mafiatyyppisesti Euroopan politiikassa.

Orbánin mukaan Soros promoaa sekarotuista Eurooppaa, mutta Unkari haluaa maahanmuuton sijaan korjata väestöongelmat unkarilaisilla lapsilla. (17.1.2020)

Soros is the world’s number one oligarch

In a Friday morning radio interview, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán described George Soros as the world’s number one oligarch who “controls political activities via a mafia-like network and exerts influence on European politics”.

Regarding the fact that at the session of the European Parliament held in Strasbourg on the previous day a decision on the state of the rule of law in Hungary and Poland had been adopted, including with votes from the People’s Party, on Kossuth Radio’s programme ‘Good morning, Hungary’, Mr Orbán said Fidesz was one centimetre away from leaving the European People’s Party (EPP) on Thursday because the majority of the party family “betrayed us”.

The Prime Minister-Fidesz President said the only reason why they did not quit was that the French, the Spanish and the Italians “were clearly on our side” and in the debate within the People’s Party they took the view that the party should stand up for Hungary.

A governing party belongs to a party family in Europe in order to have allies when its country needs protection and help. “However, if our allies betray us – as the majority of the People’s Party betrayed us yesterday – there is no place for us there,” he argued.

However, Mr Orbán continued, there are three major countries – France, Spain and Italy – which say that the Hungarians are right, and this gives us some hope for change in the EPP. “Hope that is diminishing by the day, but still exists. Otherwise this morning we would no longer be members,” he said.

He said he had consulted Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz on the matter, he would meet with the leader of CDU and German Chancellor Angela Merkel, and he would also like to talk to President of the People’s Party Donald Tusk; after that, “a decision will have to be made”. He stressed that it is certain that “things cannot go on like this”. If the EPP fails to stand up for Hungary, then “we will have to launch a new European movement of a Christian democratic nature” and “we will have allies for that”.

In the context of the Strasbourg vote, he also highlighted that there is nothing surprising about the fact that the pro-immigration majority of the European Parliament – the socialists, liberals and greens, of which the Hungarian opposition also forms part – vote against Hungary as they hate Hungary’s anti-immigration position.

He also pointed out that what is behind the whole affair is that the Soros network is extremely active in the EP and in European politics. “The Soros network is clearly behind moves like this,” he said, describing George Soros as the world’s number one oligarch who “controls political activities via a mafia-like network and exerts influence on European politics”.

While this network advocates for a mixed, new Europe, Hungary wishes to respond to demographic problems not with migrants, but with Hungarian children, he pointed out.
